NRNA New Zealand invites all young artists from all across the country to unleash their creativity in our annual School Holiday Art Competition! This is a fantastic way for our young generation to connect with our shared Nepali heritage, express their imagination, and win cash prizes!

THEME: Any Creative Artwork Inspired by Nepal
Prizes & Recognition

We have three age-based categories (4-8, 8-12 and 12-18) to ensure fair judging, with cash prizes awarded to the top two in each group (1st Prize: $300; 2nd Prize: $100). An independent panel will be appointed to judge the artwork.

A Festival Spotlight on Young Talent!
We are thrilled to give our young artists a major platform:

The Top 10 Artworks from across all categories will be proudly displayed in a dedicated stall at the Nepal Festival 2026 in Christchurch!

The Top 2 Winners from each category will be formally felicitated and recognized on the main stage during the festival on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Entry Details

Format: Hand-painted art only (paint, watercolour, crayons, pencils, etc.).

Submission: Take a clear, high-quality photo of the artwork and email it to: contact@nrnanz.org.nz

Please include the child’s Name, Age, School Year, and a brief statement about their inspiration.
